P2I Engineering Tools
Focused software for stubborn engineering workflow gaps
I build small, local-first tools for places where engineering data already exists, but the handoff is still manual, brittle, or trapped inside vendor-specific exports.

First tool: Metrology Forge parses PC-DMIS-style CMM report exports and generates redacted diagnostics for real-world parser feedback.
What P2I builds
- Focused tools for engineering teams stuck between vendor software, Excel, PDFs, text exports, and fragile internal scripts.
- Local-first workflows for sensitive technical data: inspect, parse, redact, and export without requiring a cloud upload.
- Parser-backed utilities that preserve evidence, flag ambiguity, and avoid silent conversion mistakes.
- One painful workflow handoff at a time. Metrology reporting is the first wedge.
Current alpha: Metrology Forge
- Windows desktop app and CLI for PC-DMIS-style CMM report exports.
- Fixed-width tolerance-table parsing with OUTTOL detection, source-line evidence, malformed-row warnings, and unknown-row handling.
- Redacted diagnostic JSON removes part names, feature names, serials, comments, and numeric values while preserving parser-relevant structure.
Alpha workflow
1. Download
Install the Windows alpha from the public GitHub release.
2. Run locally
Open a messy PC-DMIS-style report export and review parsed rows, failures, warnings, and unknowns.
3. Send diagnostic
Generate the redacted diagnostic JSON and email it back with what the parser missed or misread.
Help shape the next gap
- For Metrology Forge, attach the redacted diagnostic JSON.
- Mention the CMM software version and export type if known.
- If another engineering workflow is painful because the data handoff is manual or brittle, send the example pattern.
